Privacy policy

1. Scope and operator

Wraxle LLC ("Wraxle," "we," "us," or "our") operates software products and websites, including products offered under names other than Wraxle, such as TranscriptLayer. We call each covered product, website, app, and related support channel a "Service."

This policy applies only when a Service links to it and identifies Wraxle LLC as its operator. It does not cover third-party products or services, even when a Service links to them.

2. Information we handle

The information involved depends on the Service and how you use it.

Information you provide

• Contact and support information, such as your name, email address, product name, and the contents of your message.
• Account information, if a Service offers accounts, such as login details, profile information, and preferences.
• Content you choose to process, such as files, audio, text, transcripts, prompts, or other material submitted to a Service.
• Purchase information, such as product, plan, and transaction status. Payment processors and app stores handle full payment-card details under their own policies.

Information collected through use

• Device and technical information, such as browser, operating system, app version, language, device type, IP address, and crash or diagnostic data.
• Usage information, such as pages or features used, interactions, referring page, and approximate region derived from an IP address.
• Cookies and similar storage, where used to keep a Service working, remember preferences, measure use, or protect it from abuse.

Local processing

Some Services process content only on your device. When a product says that processing is local, Wraxle does not receive that content unless you deliberately send it through another feature, such as cloud processing, sync, or a support request. Check the product's own notice for the exact behavior.

Wraxle website analytics

Wraxle websites may use PostHog to understand visits and improve the site. This may involve device and browser data, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and online identifiers. We do not use this information for third-party advertising.

3. How we use information

We use information as needed to:

• provide, maintain, and secure the Services;
• process requests, purchases, subscriptions, and account actions;
• respond to support, privacy, and other messages;
• diagnose faults and improve reliability, usability, and features;
• prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
• comply with law and enforce our agreements; and
• send product or company updates when you ask for them, with an option to unsubscribe from marketing messages.

We may combine or de-identify information so it can no longer reasonably identify you. We may use and disclose de-identified or aggregated information for any lawful purpose and do not try to re-identify it.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

• Vendors and infrastructure providers that host, analyze, secure, support, or process payments for a Service, only for the work we ask them to perform.
• App stores and transaction partners involved in a purchase, subscription, refund, or entitlement check.
• Professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud or a security issue.
• A successor or transaction participant during a financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
• Another party at your direction when you connect a third-party service or ask us to send information to it.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including to provide the Service, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and Service. Product-specific notices may give a more exact period.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and requests

• You can stop marketing email through the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send non-marketing service messages.
• You can manage app permissions through your device settings and cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may keep parts of a Service from working.
• You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information associated with you by using our data request instructions. If a Service has an in-product account deletion control, that is usually the fastest route.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. We may retain information when law permits or requires it, including for security, fraud prevention, and legal claims.

Browser privacy signals

There is no common standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, so our websites do not change behavior in response to them. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such processing for an opt-out preference signal to disable.

7. Regional information

California

California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information; receive information about its use and disclosure; and receive equal service when exercising privacy rights. Wraxle does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California privacy law. An authorized agent may submit a request, but we may ask for proof of authority and identity.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Where applicable, Wraxle processes personal information to perform a contract with you, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Services, or with your consent. You may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, or receive a portable copy of your information, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Wraxle is based in the United States. If you use a Service elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Wraxle or its vendors operate. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for these transfers.

8. Children

Unless a product-specific notice says otherwise, the Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
